About Us

Our Purpose

As a producer-led organization, we champion
agricultural opportunity in Western
Washington by advancing advocacy,
education, and collaboration. Our work
strengthens the continuity and viability of
agriculture, supports current and future
producers, and lifts community prosperity
across the region.

Our Commitment

Our commitment is to represent production agriculture with clarity, strength, and purpose. Through strategic planning and member feedback, we align our advocacy, education, and outreach efforts to deliver measurable value, protect working farmland, and support the long-term viability of agriculture in Northwest Washington. Our focus areas include strengthening our producer-led organization, investing in the next generation, expanding community awareness, and advancing effective advocacy.

Our Membership

Rooted in Northwest Washington, we are the only local organization focused solely on representing production agriculture. Our members are producers, ag-business leaders, and industry partners committed to protecting and strengthening agriculture in our region.

The Western Washington Agricultural Association (WWAA) represents farmers and the broader agricultural community west of the Cascade Mountains. We support our members through natural resource policy, science, and advocacy at the county, state, and federal levels, adapting our services as agriculture continues to evolve.

Founded in 1944 by farmers to negotiate vegetable contracts, WWAA has evolved alongside the industry. While our original role has changed, our mission remains the same: to strengthen and protect agriculture in all its forms. Today, our work includes advancing land use policies that safeguard working farmland, supporting conservation and stewardship efforts, and helping balance agricultural viability with environmental and cultural resource priorities.

WWAA remains committed to crop research, agricultural economics, and marketing, strategically focusing our resources to address the regulatory, environmental, and political challenges facing production agriculture in Western Washington.
