3rd Annual Skagit Farm Circle
November 18-19, 2026

Skagit Farm Circle: A Hands-On Agricultural Experience for 3rd Graders

In partnership with the Skagit County Fairgrounds, the Western Washington Agricultural Association (WWAA) is proud to host Skagit Farm Circle, an interactive agriculture education program right here in Skagit County.

Building on the success of Whatcom Family Farmers’ Whatcom Farm Circle, we are excited to bring Skagit Farm Circle to local 3rd grade students for the second time this fall at the Skagit County Fairgrounds.

With support from local and statewide partners, students will explore six engaging learning stations that showcase agriculture in Skagit County and across Washington. Stations include:

  • Dairy farming

  • Entomology (the study of insects)

  • Potatoes

  • Water and wildlife conservation

  • General Washington agriculture explorations

Students will rotate through each station in 15-minute sessions with hands-on activities designed to be fun, educational, and memorable.

To wrap up the field trip, each student will receive a take-home swag bag with activities, school supplies, and local food products so learning can continue at home.

Calling All Skagit County Schools
All Skagit County 3rd grade classes are invited to apply. This event is free of charge thanks to generous support from our agricultural community. Sponsorships from businesses and individuals make the event possible, including transportation grants for schools traveling from farther away and funding essential event costs.

Volunteer With Us
Skagit Farm Circle is a nearly all-volunteer-run event, and we welcome volunteers who can donate a couple of hours to help students learn about the importance of agriculture in our region.

Whether you are a teacher, volunteer, or local business looking to give back, we would love to have you involved.
